Anyone know how to adjust the struts on a 97 Touring? The Touring struts are supposed to be adjustable, right? So how is it done? Whats the benefit of having a Touring Q45 as opposed to the Base version?

Trim. No adjustment for the struts that I know of. Electronic valving of the struts was introduced in 1999.

So no way to dampen the valves on Touring struts to get a change in the suspension. I can just get some non touring struts and replace them without any significant difference in the ride maybe.

Yes, the KYB SR Specials from Japan. Might take about 3 months. It' in the previous posts.

Call www.memoryfab.com and tell him they are for a FGY33 (since the Y33 is a different car).

All true info. The adjustables came in 99', your 97' has none, you should actually be thankful. There is only one improvement available which you've already been pointed towards, the KYB SR Specials that are only available in Japan. They are a great upgrade.

I think i will just buy a non Touring strut assembly and swap it. My struts are shot and i can more easily find non touring assemblies since the Touring struts really dont do much different.

They are the same strut for that year. Get OEM, not monroe or that trash.

You must, at the bare minimum, also get the front strut bearings and the gaiters. Probably a lot more if you look.

Actually when you look into it the price for OEM struts will be more $$ than the KYB SR Specials. The OEM's even at everythinginfiniti.com have really gone through the roof, and there isn't any Monroe options for this car. I would call them (they are cheapest) and than call memoryfab and compare prices. This is one part that the OEM is far inferior to the aftermarket. KYB is the OEM so your simply getting their better product for less money, but you have to wait a few weeks for them to come into stock. But the difference they make on handing for the car is like night and day. They SR Specials is what the Touring model should have been to begin with.

I was wondering can these "KYB SR's" be used on non-touring 97 Q45?
