My 97 q45 sunroof only opens when im driving, I check the fuse, the fuse is good. I lube all the rails, can it be that the motor to the sunroof is on it's last leg.also do anybody know which blank cd's can play in the bose cd player, I tired TDK, MAXELL and I'm still getting 'CD ERR'

When you try and open the sunroof, does it make noise like its trying to open or does it do nothing???

For the CD player ive never had any issues playing CD-Rs. You might try cleaning the laser head with one of those lens cleaners. Typically nissan CD players dont give you much problem playing CD-R

My trunk- mounted CD changer is picky about home-burnt CDs. I've had pretty good luck with the "imation" brand, but suspect that it may vary from burn to burn, blank CD production run, phase of the moon, etc.

The dash-mounted player doesn't seem to have any problem playing any brand.

Hmm thats weird...

I wonder if you can adjust the clutch like you can on the earlier models. Q451990 posted info on this in the infiniti online mechanic, should still be on the 1st or 2nd page...?

I really dont think that driving has anything to do with the issue at hand.

I have never had any issues with CD-R's in my stock 97' unit, both in the trunk and and the head unit. What sofware are you using to burn the CD's? What about the trunk mount versus head unit for the disks giving you the errors? Try them and see, but might be time for a new head unit.

I would personally love to dump mine but holding out so I can do a full Nav system.

I got a 98 Infiniti q45 the sunroof doesn’t open or close but you can hear the motor working whenever you push the buttons. I’ve taken it to a sunroof repair shop but they couldn’t get it to work or close. They suggested getting a new one. I found a 99 Q45 sunroof assembly would that fit on the 98?

'98 and '99 appear to have used the same two frame numbers, and one of the two was for the metal roof. So if the '99 has the same roof type (glass or metal) as your '98, the frame assembly should be a straight bolt-up.
