So you replaced the clutch for the main cooling fan, but the fan still doesn't spin when the engine is running?

Does the water pump pulley (behind the fan clutch) spin when the engine is running?

Can you turn the fan blades by hand with the engine off, or is there something interfering with it being able to spin?

Welcome to NICO! Sorry to hear about this happening.. :(

Seems hard to imagine that the fan wouldn't move at all, typically even if the clutch is bad it will still rotate some.. The only thing I could think of there is if the belt is broken?

Don't ya just love it when a first-time poster frantically asks for help about a nonsensical problem - and then disappears off the face of the earth?

That happened a few days ago too, with the guy with the frantic all-caps starting issue. I told him exactly what to do too lol. As for this, if you're reading it lol, crank it up and watch the fan for a few minutes. Can you hear the fan clutch actuating? Did you replace with a new or used junkyard part? You sure you have enough coolant? The temp sensor needs coolant to read, way too low and it may not signal the fan!

Funny that you get the dude and he claims to be a first owner too. But it is interesting that this section of NICO still has the most posts.

Hi all, sorry for my absence and my apologies for the caps in my post. Thanks to all that responded and tried to help. Now to the ?'s. The fan pulley doesn't spin by itself when the engine is running, all belts r connected, none missing and have all been replaced prior to the overheating incident. I can easily turn the fan when the engine is off no resistance. I never lost any anti-freeze,the fluid level is correct. I'm currently inclined to believe its the water pump. The reason i overlooked it in the first place is because i ha no coolant loss or leaks. Waiting on your responses. Again, thanks to all.
