97 Q45 Odometer not working

I have a 97, all the gauges in the cluster work but not the odometer? Could this be a simple problem like a fuse?

Possibly a bad sensor. Might wanna check that out.

No fuse on that, I believe the 97' is stilll mechanical. Your odo cable might have just gotten loose.

I have the same problem. I have been trying to figure it out also.

These should be an issue that any good general mechanic can diagnose and fix very quickly.

Also have this issue on my 98 Q. Speedo works, but not trip odometer or mileage odometer!

Does anyone know for certain if this is a sensor (on diff perhaps??), or cable! Also, I wonder if it's at the cluster side or on the drivetrain side.

there is no cable on 97-2001 q its electrical
if ur speedo works but the milage dont (mechanical numbers 97-98, ) probably striped gears in a cluster. (exept 99-01 digital cluster)
