I have some scratches on my front bumper and i was wondering if there was anywhere I could find one of those leather nose covers to fit this model? If anyone has heard of this please help! I'd like to get it covered soon.

http://www.carbras.com/ -- Call them and ask if they carry it. They always have them available for more models than they actually show on the web site. Usually $115 shipped.

Colgan makes one for your car, I have one for my 97'. I'm not that happy with it, it flaps at highways speeds (well at about 75MPH). I've tried everything and I keep meaning to call Colgan to complain about it.

I have one for my 300ZX by Colgan and it works great, I bought it for the same reason you did to hide chip marks and prevent future ones.

STILLEN rules! Their unit is absolutely top notch! Just back from 4500 mile trip out to NM and back, at ridiculous cruise speeds! Stillen unit is so well designed that it stays in place at well over 100 mph, and seems to be glued to the car! Bought mine from another club member a couple of years ago. Like most things, you get what you pay for!

How much did you pay for that? Are you sure stillen still offers it?

I believe I gave the fellow member $120 for it, and it was unused. I believe you will have to pay somewhat more for a new one. I was impressed, though, with the quality and how everything fits. This was not some wham bam, thank you mamm, design, or construction, rather, top notch in all respects. It sure has saved me from lots of difficult touching up (pearl) on the hood and bumper since I started using it (only on trips, in that I would not want to leave it on if it was wet). Good Luck!

The Colgan ones are not poor quality, the one on my Z I've had for 10 years and never a flap. I want to call colgan to find out what the heck to do with this one, but if not I may see if Stillen has one to fit.

Makes for a good sanding action with the fine dirt and grit that is trapped in the road spray and works its way into the lining of the bra.

maybe it will sand out some of the blemishes my car has in its clear coat from my step-dad leaving bird crap on it for so long without waxing or washing it!

The key is to never put it on a dirty car and to wash it completely when you take it off. I have had mine on the nose of my Z for 19 years and always saved lots of wear on the paint (albeit the car was painted in 1991).

And remove it in the rain as that is when the dirt and grit permeates the lining and the grinding starts.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t
