ok, so last week i take it to the dealer to get p1110 taken care of. then on sunday i turn on my AC for about 2 sec and turned it off cause it smelled weird and my motor had a little winding noise after, so i had friends come over to here it. the popped the hood and started the car for them to here the winding noise and smell. well as i started the car, the smell comes back and this time it smells like burning rubber. so they told me it could be the belts, so i go ahead and change out the belts. after im done, i go ahead to start up the car. as i do that, the burning rubber smell never left and the winding noise never left. anybody have any idea what the problem is???

On the older Q45 (G50), there are 3 "belt tensioner puilleys" that have bearings in them that eventually wear out. Does the VH41DE have them? Have the ever been replaced?

Difficult for us to hear them from here.

When you inspect the belts when the car is on a lift, spin them after reducing the tension and removing the belts. Any roughness replace.

What is the condition of the belts? Cracks? Replace tehm all at once to avoid repeat labor. Have the pullleys on hand so you can replace the bad ones as required.

i replaced all 4 belts yesterday and didnt really spin the pulleys to check if they were bad, but when i spun it to spin it , they spun smoothly.

Then if your tension is correct, you are fine. If it is too loose, belt will slip and be glazed when its surface is burned. If it is too tight, then bearings will wear prematurely.
