Hello,
New to the board here. My son has a 97 Pathfinder, Klondike version (here in N. California) with an intermitant fault. It seems like it is related to a theft warning lockout that manages to reset overnight (perhaps a capacitor bleeding down?) Plan is to troubleshoot this weekend switches, relays etc. We have the haynes manual with rudimentary wire diagrams, can see where a open circuit is forced on to starter if a particular relay is energized...am wondering whether any experienced board users have a link to the detailed 1997 PF WD/Schematic? On this board, I've seen the same for a 2001, but it looks like a few features were added since 1997. Also, have seen on several searches something relating to rear glass hatch and key use to unlock but our only way to get an engine started is an overnight soak. thanks, John

i recommend you download the official Nissan Factory Service Manual. It has way more info than the haynes, it has very detailed wiring schematics. It's a large file but worth the download.

Good luck!

Wow, thanks for the link. Will spend some time perusing. Off to chase electronic gremlins. J
