97 pathfinder Tachometer going crazy

So the tach on my 97 pathy was just bouncing all over the place randomly. It got to a point where it was completely insane all the time. Saw this vid on YouTube on how to fix that and it consisted of resoldering all the solder points on the back of the tach after taking it out of the plastic housing. Ok I did that, and it worked fine for a few days. Now it's bouncing randomly again. Looks like it's getting worse too. Any ideas on what to do? :bang
