97 Pathfinder SE Warn Manual Hubs Install

I have a 97 Pathfinder SE. I just had the AC 2 inch lift installed and 31 inch tires. We were going to put in the Warn Manual locking hubs and ran into a problem.

It appears the Warn hubs have a lip that prevents it from attaching to the axle snug. You will see in the photo that there is a gap. It looks like the stock hub has that ring that allow it to fit properly. We know this Warn hub has been installed on many Pathfinders. We verified the part number as well... We need help and wondering what we are missing here. Thanks in advance.
