97 Pathfinder Power Door Locks

Earlier today I pressed the LOCK button on the door at the same time someone was pulling the outside handle of a back door. Now the doors won't lock with the power button and will unlock only intermittently. When I press UNLOCK I hear a faint click behind the dashboard but nothing when I press LOCK. Is there a way to reset the system or is it permanently damaged?

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the negative battery terminal? I don't think R50s have door lock timers like older ones.

Thanks. Actually, I tried manually locking and unlocking the door and the child lock lever on the door that was opened. That seems to have worked--at least for now. Thanks for the reply.
