Hello all,
I'm new to the forum. The wife has a 97 Pathfinder that I've started working on. She has a fairly substantial IMHO oil leak on the passenger side. I've narrowed it down to the Valve Cover Gasket. I went through the FSM and it shows removal of both sides and the requirement to drain the coolant. If I'm just changing the passenger side I don't have to drain the coolant, correct?

Next up is front pads and rotors with the addition of bearings since I'll be down there anyways.

Great forum with lots of info. I'm not too mechanically inclined as I've really only worked on airplanes a little and my F-150.

AFAIK you can try to tighten the bolts, they may have just backed out a bit. If that doesn't help, then you will need to replace them. I've never done it and don't have a 3.3L, so can't offer any more advise than that.

yeah I tightened them a few weeks ago. Worked for 3-4 days and it starts leaking again.
Thanks for the reply.
