97 Nissan Pathfinder Power Locks

ok we bought this pathy about 4 years ago and everything worked fine but the power locks and the previous owner didn't provide the factory remote control for the alarm so i dont know if this has anything to do with it. i didn't really pay attention to it until some theif around my neighborhood started stealing stereos so now i'm planning on putting an aftermarket alarm with remote locks but i can't until i get the locks fixxed so please help me before i become a victim
