This is my first post..I would like to thank you all for the great information on NICO. I think this is a great place to start for finding real answers, which brings me to this post. Ive been to 4 mechanics with diags from ECU MAP to MAF. Too much money spent on no real solutions when the code just pops right back in my dash.

My 97 nissan maxima has been diagnosed and rediagnosed left and right, and nobody seems to have the solution to the ERROR CODE: P0105 .

So now I turn to NICO for some real answers to get this done. PLEASE, does anyone know the exact diags to fix this problem once and for all? Some of my symptoms are engine power loss and fuel economy loss since the problem came about. I would be a very happy camper to know its been fixed properly with no return.

THANKS!

Welcome to NICO!

The absolute pressure sensor is connected to the MAP/BARO switch solenoid valve by a hose. The sensor detects ambient barometric pressure and intake manifold pressure respectively, and modifies the voltage signal received from the ECM. The modified signal will then be returned to the ECM. As the pressure increases, the voltage rises.

I would recommend replacing the absolute pressure sensor. The reason the techs were telling you thge MAP is because the APS is involved with it but is a seperate part. Hope this helps.

Hey would that be the part close to the radiator that says Boost Sensor? If so, I bought one from Autozone as a replacement. Had it diagnosed asworking properly. But the problem still persists.. Any other ideas? Or shouldI get the OEM nissan version replacement? Could that be an issue that I bought the cheaper one from Autozone thats not OEM?Thanks, lemme know.
