97 nissan maxima egnine light?

My engine light came on after my car dint want to start up.......i went to autozone and they hooked up a machine to tell me a code and they gave me P1000 does anybody know what is it? and what can i do? where to start from?

There is no P1000 code. There is however a P0100. zerothread?id=126542
