I am currently running a stock '97 Max, but now have interest/money to play with this thing and try to enjoy it rather than use it for a commuter vehicle.

I understand the whole traction/ride qualtiy issue. What I NEED 2 know is if it will work. I have this set offered to me, and don't want to waste my time if it's not possable?

If it CAN be done with or without mods, to suspension or the like...please, let me know. Nowhere have I found what the LIMIT is as to width, only manufacturer specs which are small & smaller.

Thank you, and please forgive me if I am asking a question you have answered a thousnad times already.

20"...wow my max looks like an suv without being lowered on 17" so yours will look pretty ridiculous - personal opinion. why would you want wider rear if it's a fwd car? i think the offset would have to be negative for a wheel that size to clear the shock, but i'm not a specialist. and your speedo will be way off...says my mama funny man.

Not only will you have suspension issues but you will deffinatly have issues stopping those 20" monsters those little rotors wont cut it your gonna need a big brake kit to stop in a safe distance. IDK but I dont think it will work unless you got a lot of $$$
