97 Maxima Alternator Replacement

Where can I get some info on how to replace my alternator on the Maxima. I have a 1997 Maxima GLE

jack up pass. side and take the tire okk remove all the wires and dissconnect the ground remove the bolt on the top of the alt. take the balt off then take off the bottom 2 bolts and the alt should be off pull it aut and put new one in

fist you need to disconnect the battery! remove belt tension and remove the belt. disconnect the connector and 12mm bolt connector. drain some coolant as i remmeber the upper rad hose is in the way, remove hose as needed. remove the mounting bolts. shimmy alternaotr out and install in reverse manner

Remove the RF wheel and splash shield,disconnnect battery,,loosen the drive belt, unbolt the A/C compressor,then unbolt the alternator charge wire and unplug the alternator.Remove the alternator from the underside of the vehicle.
