Can annyone supply me with the above info? I am doing an exchange with synthetic fluid, and I really dont want to buy more than necessary. I have called every Infiniti dealer in town and have gotten a different answer each time. Also, isn't it a good idea to drop the pan for cleaning and to replace the filter/screen? Just found your site today...great info!

Why does it say "Driving Mom's Car" under my name? She would never attempt to change her own transmission fluid!

Whatever they say, do the pan drop and filter change, i learned the hard way and had to change a Torque converter on year after. i discovered the problem by doing the pan drop and filter change

The transmission takes 8+ quarts but when doing a flush I think you need about 15 quarts.

Good luck

Diving moms car is based on the number of posts you make, the more you make the different the name

Thanks, Juice! Yes, I had definitely planned to do the pan drop, etc. 15 quarts at about 5 bucks each is $75 plus the parts and labor, but I am convinced it is worth it for the long haul.

Compared to paying us [T3] $2800 for a reman transmission it sure is worth it.

I love my J30...esp since it is paid for, and while I don't plan on keeping it forever, I do think I will keep her for another 50k or so. BTW, do you recommend the BG flush system? Also, if I needed you to do some work on my J30, how can I contact you?

I don't work on cars for pay [hobby........the Inet takes up too much time] but T3 can be reach at 404-794-7700 S. Cobb @I285.If you want to supply 14 qts of Mobil Syn ATF they will credit you $21 on the normal $120 BG flush.........be sure and remind them.

Depending on the dirtiness of your ATF sometimes it makes sense to double flush [use conventional to get the dirt out] then reflush with Synthetics so you could get a discount the $120 plus the second at $60 with your ATF............the hardest part of the flush is hooking the machine up and the quick disco connectors allow you to purge the old ATF out of machine and refilll in 15 minutes and do it again thus the second discount..............you only want the BG solvent cleaner in the first flush anyway, then the BG conditioner added to the syn ATF after the second.

Always a good idea to do a pan drop, pan/magnet clean, and filter change prior to the first flush.......so you don't send the gravity settled gunk back thru the system!

Gotta warn them as J30 transmission filters and o ring and gasket may not always be in stock but with 2-3 parts deliveries per day a 9am morning notification means an after lunch parts delivery.
