Hello. As the subject says, my 97 J30 is coming up on the big 100k. I know the timing belt needs replacement, and I've read here and there that it's best to replace the water pump at the same time. True? False? Is there anything else that really needs doing at the same time? I'm not terribly flush with cash at the moment, but I can do what's needed to avoid a more costly breakdown in the future. Also, any advice on where to get the work done competently but reasonably? My longtime mechanic recently disappeared on me so I don't have anybody I really trust for a job this important. As always, thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom.
