97 I30 will start right up or just make clicks!

I love My 97 Infiniti I30, but it just started to intermittently not start. It will either start with no hesitation or I will just hear relays clicking and the hum of the fuel pump. Even though I did not have any idiot lights come on while driving, but they do all work when I turn the key to acc.; I replaced the battery and cleaned terminals and harness very well. All the electronics works but it will start or will not. If I leave it for a couple of hours it might just start right up. A couple of times I have pulled the battery, charged for a couple of hours because it seems like there may be a drain but even when I charge the battery in still may not start. Any Ideas?

Welcome to the forum. Just so you know I deleted your other post in the brake thread, just so things dont get off topic!!

At any rate, can you tell where the clicking comes from... It may be hard to tell, but if it seems more on top then it could be the starter RELAY is firing but the solenoid isnt going...

Regardless, i think its likely your starter....
