Just got news from the Infiniti dealer (before learning about this forum) -- about $750 to replace the left front o2 sensor and the knock sensor.

Question is: for a person who's only really done things like oil changes and brake shoe replacements, is this a job for a pro, or can I do it?

Any instructions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Knock sensors are under the intake manifold, and will probably be somewhat daunting..... You could probably do it, but you gotta take your time and be patient......

o2 sensor should be cake...should take about 30min at most. Knock sensor depending how hard it is to get shouldn't take too long either. All it is is 1 bold and the plug and its off.
