'97 hardbody 4x4 KA24DE (Frontier) 2wd engine swap wiring

Ok, so we have to engine in the bay, the transmission is hooked up, vacuum, fuel, coolant, etc. lines are all connected. We hooked the frontier wiring harness up to the engine, hooked it into the frontier ecu and nothing. No spark, no fuel, no nothing. Completely stumped about this one. Could this be a bad ecu? Do you guys have any idea what this might be? It should be a pretty straight forward swap, and yet it's turned into a lot of trouble.
