97 engine in 94 car 1.6L

Forgive my ignorance, I have indeed searched, but to no avail.

I need to know if a 971.6 engine will interchange with a 94 model. I have a good 94 Sentra that I would like to put this 97 engine in. I know the intake/exhaust will be different, but am I in for any other surprises?

The '97 unit will have OBDII emissions equipment. You can convert it, but off the top of my head I don't remember what's involved. Try searching for OBDI conversion or something along those lines, someone explained it awhile back.

Oh, I wouldn't even try to do that. I'm fine with swapping out the manifolds. I just wasn't sure about the mechanicals. I know the 97 engine has a plastic valve cover. I just need a little assurance before I tear into it this weekend.

You won't have to change anything mechanical/internal for sure.
