97 D21 Hardbody - Driver Side Door not unlocking

The driver side door on my 97 D21 Hardbody pickup is not unlocking. The key will turn the lock cylinder with some resistance, however the door lock knob will not raise all the way to unlock the door. Passenger side door works fine. Anybody have an idea what might be wrong? I haven't removed the door panel yet to inspect.

Try a little WD40 in the mechanism after you pull the door panel off. I had some issues with the driver side handle being incredibly stiff to open and that amazingly enough solved it right up. Since it only seems to be some difficulty in manipulating it there is probably some excess gunk in there.
