97-98 240SX Rollcage Help

Im in the process of buying a 97-98 240sx for my first car.Im in a tech highschool and wanted to make a roll-cage similer to the one in Brians Skyline from 2Fast 2Furious.I wanted to get a professional option on the grade of steel I should use and any suggestions to my idea.Also im looking for the car right now as well.

What kind of competition are you going to be in? If its drag then look up the nhra rules for pipe thickness and specific measurements.

I wouldnt be entering any kind of competition but will probaly take it up to a local drag meet in New Hampshire.This is a Senior Project im doing for my tech high school and aside from asking welders or shops about Roll Cages for a 240sx I wanted to get options from people who have a strong knowledge or have made roll cages on 240's in general.
