97 240sx "Overdrive Off" light keeps coming on

The car is a 97 240sx auto with 70k on it. Every now and then I'll notice that my overdrive gets turned off. The first time i thought i may have hit the button by mistake but it has happened a few times since then and seems to be getting more and more often. Its not really an issue right now because it goes back to normal after pushing the overdrive button but im alittle concerned how it keeps turning itself off.

Also, im not sure if this is related, but while driving a few days ago, my car just wouldnt shift into last gear. After turning the car off and back on, it fixed itself. Again, not an issue right now but im beginning to think these may be early signs of my transmission going up?

Any help on things to look for or fixes?

Nobody has any ideas? It seems to be happening a bit more frequently now

You may have to pull stored codes of the TCU to check whats wrong. Here is a thread you should look at to get you started. Also when was the last time you had your trans flushed?

its maybe the neutral saftey switch i know it dont seem like it could cause this problem but i have seen it work for others
