i was really looking for fiberglass or metal accually i really dont need the reduced weight. can carbon fiber be painted?

yep, its been clearcoated, so just sand it and paint it like usual

I dont remember where but i saw a cherry red 240 in a magazine with a hood painted the same color. It looked pretty good

do u have any problems with like the hood latches when u get a carbon fiber one ,therefore, would i need hood pins

You can paint carbon fiber and use the stock hood latch, but I would STRONGLY suggest hoodpins. I had a little problem when I got a cf hood of it flying up on the freeway and doing 3k worth of damage to my car because I wanted to go home and install the hoodpins in the morning.
