97 240 front end what is it question

9Any idea what the part with the tape on it is called? It has what looks like a bearing or seal at the end of it and it's leaking. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Its called a T/C rod. You would need a better pic. Most of the time the the gel filled bushing starts leaking, but that at the end of the rod. Where the tape is at should only be metal to where the circular part is where it has the T/C bushing. A better pic would help too.

Does this have any other name? Like outer tie rods? Sorry if I'm showing my ignorance. I had a bunch of parts replaced a few weeks ago. Including strutts,sway bars and outer tie rods. The problem being is I originally went in to have the leaking seal fixed. The repair was supposed to fix the leak as well. I'm just trying to get as much info as possible before I confront the repair shop. Thanks.
