Hi Again:
I was cleaning the seatbelt webbing material the other day and while I had the belts pulled (they were still mounted to the pillar) to air dry I noticed that some moron put both seat belt clasps on backwards. Meaning the part you grab and click into the seat buckle is facing the pillar instead of facing out. I did not even notice it until now.
I do know that both seat belts were replaced at some point, but is there any way to remove the seat belts and pretensioners and pull out the seat belt webbing and rethread it back in the correct way? Unfortunately, the small slit the belt goes through is too small to simply flip the belt around, so I have to completely remove the belt and feed it back through both the pillar "holder" and the clasp. I am just worried about locking the pretensioners in the process making the belts useless.
Has anyone done this before? I assum you would have to remove the belt assembly from the pillar and then hold one part while someone pulls the belt all the way out and then there must be some lever to flip that releases the belt. Is there an easy way to rethread the belt webbing to make it function properly?
Anyone who knows what I'm talking about please chime in. The belts work fine, but looks ridiculous and is a hassle flipping the clasp around to buckle it.
