97-00 vs. 01-03 QX4 switch interchange?

I've found a driver's side window switch for an 01 QX4 that includes the auto feature on both front windows. I've also found a sunroof switch.

I like the idea of auto on both front windows, and wondering if anyone knows if this will work on my 99.5? Could it be as simple as swapping out the switches?

It's also my understanding that the sunroof is auto -- is this a correct assumption?

Does the 01+ have auto UP as well? I assume it does, but haven't played with one before.

Yeah, okay I'm lazy. . the idea of power windows just isn't quite sedentary enough for me -- I want it to roll up automatically after the chick at the Star Bucks window is done yappin' outta her pie hole.

I just popped my switch out, and I notice there's another plug toward the top of the later model R50 switch (mine doesn't have this) -- the bottom is identical.

I'm going to GUESS that this will not work -- I bet that top plug is for that added feature... Anyone try this or know for sure? I may be wrong.
