96Q foglamp bulb replacment

after 166,850 miles,drivers side bulb finally died!went to replace and of course,the insert mounting tabs broke due to old age/brittle plastic{20.00-30.00 from joe will fix that} the 2 screws that hold the lamp are of course rusted tight in place that even with PB Blaster they wont budge and are becoming rounded at the head making it even more difficult! can you access the bulb without removing the lamp assembly from the opening? It looks like the plastic watersheild below them will be easy to remove by undoing 3 screws,and maybe access bulb from backside of installed assembly? help

All you gotta do to get access from the back is remove the front plastic cladding (it goes up the wheel well and down under to meet up right under the bumper).. Not too hard to get at, but you may need to take the wheel off in order to get it off, either that you might be able ot access it by turning the wheel all the way one direciton.

Thats what I did. I put the car on a ramp that I use for oil changes etc.... It takes alittle twisting and turning but really a 10 minute thing once you remove the water sheild.

Of all the things I replaced on my Q, the passenger fog lamp / bulb proved the toughest and most annoying.
