Purchased with 58k miles in '99. Was mine, now wife's.

At 73k miles replaced tires with Michelin Pilot XGT H4's 235/60R15 with 40k warranty. (Lasted27k miles)

At 100k replaced tires with Dunlop SP Sport A2's 215/65R15 with 50k warranty.(Lasted 18k miles)

At 118k replaced with Falken Ziex ZE-512 B's 215/65R15 with 60k warranty.(Lasted 17k miles)

Now at 135k miles Discount Tire helped me notice that maybe the problem wasn't the tires, but the evidence is a bit conflicting. All tires are down to about 3/32 but two of them have inside wear. Rotating and balancing has taken place at 5k miles or better. A month ago I noticed pulling to the right and took it in for an alignment. I was told the alignment was OK but the tires were bad. (Alignment numbers below if I did the copy and paste correctly.) I can email the alignment sheet if necessary.

Nice to see that the Michelin 235 outlasted the others by 50%.

Kind of like truth in lending laws............Michelins Name and reputation.

Plus the stronger higher load index of the 235.

If one doesn't keep up with upperlink, tension rod replacement and alignments twice per year the results are obvious.

Same with inflations 35 psi cold minimum.

Still running the last of 235 on the front and I have gotten 35,000 miles plus out of the last 3 sets..............exactly 4 new one on at 201,000 miles, now at 314,000 so 113k/3=37.5k average some more some less.

I sure won't quibble about 10% less than warranty.

Unfortunately no 235 available so you will have to accept less, on a Q always assume 1/2 warranty is good with non Michelin tires.

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S in 215 [just under $100] or 225 would be the best bet.

My reaction is the same as Q45tech.

Of course, if you drive 610, it's probably not much better than Baghdad.

Upper links and tension rod bushings are paramount, and everything else that wears after that. Close is not good enough on suspension alignment. Take it to a pro that has a Hunter and get it spot on. With new suspension components, tire should last like Q45tech's. Mine do.

Pick up some 16" or 17" rims off a Y33 or another Nissan, way more choices for tires and you can find knock-offs cheap. i fyou lived near me I'd pretty much give you my 16" touring rims, you can get much better selection in 16.

My Michelin Pilot XGTH4 235's lasted over 40,000, and that was with some uneven outside wear in the fronts. Just replaced them with Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S 225's. My mileage is almost exclusively freeway, though.
