I picked up a 96 NA slicktop and needed to replace the tps. My 96 manual only has wiring diagram for a 94 not the dual connector 96 tps. My idle is at 1200 and cannot get the thing adjusted . Z shops are few and far between where I live so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks

not sure how it is on the OBD-II Z32's but I know that the TPS on my 98 sentra with the sr20 in it gave me the same problem. The trick to that is unplugging one of the plugs (i want to say the brown one) and starting the car and let it run for like 15 seconds (do this like 8 times) and then it relearns the settings.

I'll try that this weekend thanks. I just can't get the volatge output to vary with throttle position. My tps plug (brown) has red/black/white as connectors 123. The manual shows orl/white/black as 123. that is what has me confused(p.ec67).

Hey MRIZ did you get your 96 z32 running right? I have a the same style TPS on mine and can't find a procedure for setting mine (1996 Z32 TT). My lower grey connector only has 2 wires. (the third is clipped). The Z was running fine until I decided to replace fuel injectors and for some dumb reason that I can't remember I replaced the TPS. Help!! Can't find anything on the 1996. My idle is high, like 11 to 1200 RPMS. Also I cant access the JWT computer (tuned for 615cc NISMO fuel Injectors) with my OBDII reader; not that it would probably help but it may help with the voltage reading at the TPS if someone knows a way to correct that little issue. Plugged the OBDII reader into the port and it provides power to the reader but it fails to establish communication to the computer.
