Okay im new here and im pretty sure that this question has been asked so many times but since i never read up on it i want to ask it myself. My question is: Im planning on getting a 95-96 240sx, and i want to convert the front into a 97-98 240sx with headlights, fenders, bumper and hood...is it possible for me to do this conversion without any complication. By this i mean that can it just be easily bolted on or is it totally different. I want a detailed answer if i have to do major mods to the front. Looking for any help on this question...or can anyone lead me in the right direction...

(cant find a 97-98 240sx so dont tell me this as an answer)

The 97-98 conversion is actually a big change. You will need the headlights, hood, bumper, grill, corner lenses, and fendersFor the amount of cash you'd spend to do the conversion 2k+ Just buy the entire s15 silvia kit is only $1600 or so.

If you have to ask if you can do the conversion, then no you probably can't. Going to a shop is your best bet.

you can put together a 97-98 (MC= minor change) conversion for around $1000 give or take the deals you get. just looks aroudn for the bolts that secure the pieces to the body and take your times and dont try to rip peices off. that $1600 s15 kit will come to an easy $2500 after installation and paint. its doesnt bolt on quite as easy as the MC front end

thanks for the information dudes...well after thinking about it i will go with my same idea of doing the late modle s14 head conversion...ima go with the wide fender, maybe the carbon fiber hood, VIS R33 front bumper for the s14 and the 97-98 headlights...if im reading you corrrently, this MC conversion will be easy as long as i take my time...any idea on where to get the headlight?

a lot of peeps also say, " why not just do the s15 conv" and i personally think its trendy and not as good looking as the 97 front end, just my random 2 cents

good luck finding them from anywhere but a dealer... If you think finding a whole Kouki is hard, try finding a wrecked one that hasn't been picked over... I'm gonna say what you don't wanna hear, and just wait out for the Kouki, heck go for an automatic if you have to, the transmission conversion is cheaper than a front end conversion. that's what i'm doin ;)

anyways, I've both a zenki and a kouki at the moment... if you do the MC swap, and run into any snags, lemme know and i'll take a look at what the differences are in mine.

I totally agree, which most people end up doing is buying the automatic and just doing the transmission swap. Kouki is pretty rare just like he said, also I have a few sites that are step by step doing a MC swap as well . Good luck!
