96 SE Heating Issues

Hi there, my wife drives the Pathfinder and i have yet to reproduce the problem myself, but she says that every now and then when she turns the heat on, it either blows cold or nothing at all. it doesn't happen all the time and i haven't seen it myself, but i'm wondering if there is anything in particular i should look for. thanks

could be a relay that is behind the glove box (common for qx4, so not sure if it is the same for an r50 pathy)

could be the heater core malfunctioning.. pray it's not this one, as you have to remove the dash to replace the core.

but i guess the other senior members may have better ideas.
