Its been months and im still dealing with this problem and I need help. wires rotor cap and distributor were changed and problem is still occuring. When the car is cold it runs just about right up until the temperature reaches normal the problem starts happening. Crazy jerking. misfiring. back firing like hell. If the car is in neutral rolling and there's bumps on the roads the engine will stall. also the engine will stall if I am braking relatively hard in neutral. if im turning on an intersection it feels like the engine is choked and then sudden power comes back. Its a KA24DE and it was giving me problem codes for camshaft position sensor. and misfiring. the mechanic told me that it wasnt that because I had already changed the distributor and the camshaft position sensor is built in.

it kind of sounds like a timing problem. how good does it run when its cold? you say just about right....kind of sounds like its just a little better than when its hot and running wrong. did this start when you put the new dizzy on?

check the fuel pressure at fuel pressure regulator is bad and will run better while the engine's cold then once it warms up it will really go to hell.

Could be the wiring between the camshaft sensor & ecu or the ecu itself. Check if there's continuity between cam sensor circuit & ecu .
