I know it has variable valve timing. will that make it not work?

OK, my source says that all rb cams are interchangable except the variable timing cams on the rb25. he also says that the cams can bring 20-30 hp gain ( on a rb20det) with supporting mods... can anyone support this claim???

it's a toss up some say it works others say it dosen't. Check http://www.skylinesaustralia.c...p?f=8 Some people got it to work while others haven't Search for RB26 cams in RB20 or scroll down to page 2 might find a new thread about it.

Yes it can be done.. I wouldn't do it unless I had it tuned though. Alot of people have problems getting them to run right.

you may need adjustable cam gears to get it to run right since the cam lobes on the rb26 are offset abit diffrently than the rb20.

I just went through the site yellow4g63 gave me. That was perfect, thanks!

From what I read, the r34 cams prob wont work because of the diameter of the shaft and the cam gear mount.

the r33-32 gtr's have been successfully installed but there seems to be alot of controversy about that. some say it works other say it wont... mostly because the rb20 is hydraulic and the gtr is solid...

gani is prob right about needing cam gears.... they would definatly help with getting the car to idle.

I dont have vast ammounts of money to do the "error" part of "trial and error" at the moment. so im going to just wait on that endeavor for awhile.

Maybe its just easier to go buy a rb26....
