well after my buddy decided to rip out my air filter for the last run at the drags when I slowed down the rpms where going bouncy then it died, started it up again same thing put the air filter back in and reset the computer seemed fine, drove it for 100 miles and then got on it, it was getting all hesitant after 4 grand and shifting at 5200, pisses me off but I have access to OBD 2 scanners because I got to UTi, the VSS sensor was the only code it pulled up, but it was already bad before and the code was pulling up when it was running fine with the check engine light on from it, I know this was a dumb idea, anyone know what it is I was guessing MAF but that looked ok. I just reset the computer earlier tonight, and im changing the oil tomorrow, hope it will run ok or maybe I just need to give the computer time, or drive it nice

Drive it nice for a while It's not a Mustang.

I am asuming you are running the car WOT in "D", and instead of shifting at 6,800, it shifts at 5,200.

Could be a lot of things. Sorry I am no help.

What happens if you hold it in first, to 6,800? Does the power drop off at 5,200, or does it pull to redline?

Under normal conditions, it should shift around 2,000 to 3,000 RPM.

Start with the obvious, connectors, fluid levels, vacuum leaks, etc.

You can't "look at a MAF" and tell anything unless it's missing.

Clean the MAF, treat it nice, and change all your fluids. Then as Jeff suggested, see if it will go past 5200 RPMS if you hold it in first manually.

Let us know what happens.

Why wouldn't you have oem fail safes with obd2 check light on especially since tcu uses speed sensor and rpm and tps [load] to set shift rpm.
