:ohno: i just bought some new spark plugs because i got a check engine light. I took it to get the code read and they told me its a knock sensor and a speed sensor. I looked at some youtube videos about knock sensors and they said the spark plugs my have something to do with the knock. While i was taking out the spark plugs i noticed oil on the treads. The actual plugs didn't look that bad. They were a little brown but not too bad, they weren't broken either. This q45 seems to lag on take off. It seems something is holding it back. Then it really takes off after i floor it for a couple of seconds. I really don't want to take the heads apart. My "friend" sold me my last q45 and after i bought it he told me he put new head gaskets in but that i need to torque down the heads again because he didn't have a torque wrench. I sold it for 300 bucks. I bought this one for nearly 3K its almost mint condition. A few cosmetics on the bumpers paint.

Sounds like you need valve cover gaskets for the oil on the spark plug threads. The gasket between the plug holes and the head deteriorate.

As for the knock sensor issue, the poor acceleration is a classic symptom. When the computer detects a bad knock sensor, it retards the timing to prevent spark knock which causes uneven acceleration.

Did you actually hear spark knocking?
