You 2 guys are certainly the first to say that a you can't interchange years of transmission's with the year of the car. Your transmission is either installed incorrectly or the replacement is broke also. Do a search and read the posts, there are about 10 of us now that have several thousand miles and many years with the 90-93 transmission into a 94-96 Q. The gearing is different so you will need a 90-93 TCU to match up the shift points if you want it to be exact otherwise it will shift a few hundred rpms different. I have put over 30,000 hard miles on mine without a problem when I installed a 92 transmission into my 95 Q and I used both the 95 and a 93 TCU.
