Still an 8 year old car don't get too excited, it still is under the [12,000 x8=96,000 mile normal mileage].

The normal way to look at price is 50% [at 3 years old] then [25% at 6 years old] .......that would be $12,500 US then another $4,000 for the other 2 years= $8,500 US then add back something for the 18,000 miles not driven.......maybe worth $9,400 US.[Atlanta used as a reference]........if very well maintained and very very clean.........dealers would ask $11,500 for such a car and haggle down to $10,250..............trade in might be $8,000 if they wanted to sell you something.

Un sure about the market in Canada. If you want the car after playing a certified [in the brand] technican to test everything then write a check for the equivalent of $9500 US and tell them to call you when they want you to drop by and sign the check......gives them time to sweat and check with your bank that the check could be good...........obviously your VAT or sales tax must be considered...........play hard ball!

The 96's are the last of the well-liked G50 series Q45's.

The Atlanrta market is very competive and it usulally pays to heed Q45techs advice.

Dont know about the market in Canada but in my market 12k USD seem about right for a low-mile 96.Haggle 'em down a bit and drice off.

I do also thin k its a good idea to spend the $100+USD to have it thouroughly checked out preferably by an Infinit tech.

If you like the car that much ( and we can all relate to that) the extra small expense is well worth it.

I agree with Fred. Make sure you have it checked out. If you like the car and it checks out fine, work out a good deal and drive it home.

was buzz/humm sound from behind rear pass seat believe it to be fuel pump , and check engine light was on . this is to be fixed. car was sold and serviced at this dealership and they tell me it is sound.in brakes engine and transmission. they accepted 16,000 cdn. 10,500 us. not a lot of q,s in this market other than the imported u.s. ones, i am sure only difference is odometer and speedo.after driving pickups and sport utes since late 70,s . this car is a dream

--Needs a new fuel pump NOW (or risk destroying the very expensive electronic fuel control module).

--Might need new O2 sensors, knock sensors, etc. Any oil change records?

--Do they know when the last transmission flush was?
