I posted earlier that my '96 Q has not had any suspension work, and seems to be a wallowing beast compared to new. At 128k I think it would be helpful even though the shocks are not leaking and the last Infiniti tech I talked too said 'if not leaking don't bother.'I spoke to an independant shop that I have used before and they said before you replace all the linkage and stuff just do the shocks and see if that really helps get the car back to new.Would it be smart to take that advice or since it's on the rack do all the 'rubber'stuff and links too?Alexander

Do you have the money to replace everything? I see that you own a Maybach so you probably do.

It would be smart to start with struts and shocks first andf then as money allows replace other parts. Unless you save on labor for a part replaced "while your there."

Do the basics as 1 operation-it should result in a wonderful riding/handling Q.

4 tokiko blue shocks and boots-$350-380Left and right front upper links-$200tension rod bushings-$45-50front swaybar and endlink bushings-$40-50

Labor to install all above items 6-7 hours worthGet a 4 wheel alignment afterwards-$ 70-100

Total should be around $1200-1400

Will totally transform your car

OK I'll take your suggestions... And get the Q with what you suggested.

I only use in the the Maybach when I'm in the doghouse. It rides like ****.

alexander, perhaps the fridge is overloaded causing the less than stellar ride. just kidding. doesn't the maybach have something called ''semi-active suspension''?

A Maybach has a bad ride? That should not happen.

Just replace all suspension wear items and you will be amazed. Concentrate on rubber items which have undoubtedly succumbed to heat, water and ozone, not to mention just age.

It's not a 'bad' ride but touring up Highway 1 to like Bodega Bay from SF you just expect something more than having to creep into every hairpin turn.

Well, at least if I run off the road, I could live in it for a week without much discomfort. HA! The little lady love's it.

Mass is the enemy of dynamic performance.

I wonder how much sense there is to the Maybach 57S?
