Any where I can find a lower ration differential set for my1996 Q45 (non-active); Stillen used to have them, any ideas nowwhere these can be had. 3.55 would be nice, unless someone knowsanother ration near that; 4.08 seems to low.

thx

There's some threads about 4.08 installations, but you must have deep pockets and a precision shop.

Try the search function.

You currently HAVE a 3.54 ratio.

4.08 is perfect for the Q (in my opinion, having had one for 2 years) and will cost you around $1200.

Yeah, check the archives; thx. Also just saw a thread I think someoneposted that they bought a late model ZX diff on eBay to do this transplantof the diff and housing.

Are these compatible, and it the swap a reality?

The jury is still out on this one,. The Z stub axles are different, which means you'll need to swap in the Q stub axles - but they don't fit, they're a different diameter. So you'd need to use Z axles, but they're too short...

At present, no one has tried to see if the "too short" Z axles are actually ENOUGH "too shotr" to make them not work... there should be some "wiggle room".

Also, keep in mind you're talking about a n/a Z32, as the tt Z32 has the same ratio as the Q.

No it doesnt, The tt has 3.69, same as the Y33 Q...

I honestly think after taking out my subframe of my Q and the diff/halfshafts, i think theres enough room to make the Z32s work.
