My 96 q45 recently stopped running. It appeared to be the fuel pump becaue it ran fine when I sprayed starter flued in the filter. I had replaced the pump with an off brand pump about a year ago and assumed that I just made a bad decision. I then replaced the pump with an OEM. It ran fine for a few minutes and then started running rough and then died. Wouldn't restart. After sitting for a while, the tech working on it, was able to start it and drive to his shop. This morning he has been running it trying to figure out what is causing it to die, but it hasn't stopped runnning. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can check. I thought maybe the control unit. What can I check on that and is it possible for it to work fine and then intermittently cause problems? Any thoughts would be apprecitad.

I am petty sure it is the fuel pump module. Does anyone have a good used one for sale?

I have one that looks good with no signs of overheating... just be sure you replce the old fuel pump first. Increased current draw from an old pump is what kills the controllers.

How's $55.00 shipped?

I can send it priority mail.
