I have a black 1996 Q that had all the mechanical stuff working perfect (fingers crossed of course). The Q has tan interior so now I'm investigating finding new front
seats. Could someone point me in the right direction (reliable websites dealers junk yards etc.) that could supply interior parts. Infiniti of Scottsdale has in the past supplied all the mechanical equipment as well as mirror replacements.
It is a city car so seats have taking a hit with our recent drought and heatwaves.
Thanks

What does a drought have to do with seat wear?

I took mines to a fine leather upholstery shop and got fitted with with the exact same color premium quality leather. I should have done a quilted pattern. with molding a longer thigh support. and the leather on my steering wheel is torn. the shop offered to re wrap it in the same color for $150 and $200 if I want to build up the thickness but I passed and I'm trying to see if any other Infniti steering wheel designs fits the G50. I really like the FX35 tan steering wheel.

I agree... local upholstery shop is the way to go. There aren't going to be many 19-21 year old used seats in decent condition, and if you could get them from the factory, they would be very expensive.

Never thought of a reupholstery shop. Ill give it a try. Here in San Francisco it will be expensive, but should get another 5 years of service from this Q. BTW, San Francisco use to get 2 to 3 hours of bright sun during daylight hours and then heavy fog. So the first 16 years this car had cool and shade. Last 4 years of warmer weather did a number on the seats. And when the cheapest house in the city is over a million, garage space goes to the newest car the '15 A8 the Q, suffers a bit.
Will check the dealer also. Never thought seating would be available since nothing much else is.

Keep your eyes on Craigslist for a complete car in horrible running condition or a blown transmission with unmolested tan upholstery. They come up in the Bay area or Sacramento regularly. You can change out both front seats in about an hour (4 bolts) and then donate the car to charity and get most of your $$ back on your tax return.

Craigslist will now be on my radar. I missed my chance with a Q guy in Willow Glen of San Jose. His interior was a little better than mine. He took his car to the State run 'get rid of old car' for cash place. I did buy newish floor mats from him.
