Does anyone else really like this car but have a real problem with the drivers seat? The driver seat is so uncomfortable that a 2 hour drive is the longest I would ever consider.Seat is too low to reach pedals properly. Low back support is not adequate as compared to Lexus or MB. Is this one one the reasons, besides no leg room in rear seat area a reason this car could not compete against Lexus.Or is it just me?

Have you ever sat in a 1990-1993 Q45, that car would make you love your current interior.

But I have heard nothing but good stuff about the front seats, just ask Wes.

With over 200,000 miles of my fat a** sitting in the drivers seat, I find it quite comfortable even on 12 hour trips with only fuel stops. I do think the lack of rear seat legroom is unacceptable in a car that is 200 inches in length, and will probobly prevent me from considering Infiniti when its time to retire the old Q. The audi A8L and BMW 750Li have it nailed in rear seat room.

I have a '95, and I love the driver's seat. Waaaaay better than my cousin's '93 LS400. That thing is way too soft, and not so supportive as the G50 seats. I'm about 6'2", and love it. The rear seat is on the cramped side if the fronts are all or most of the way back, but this is a driver's car. Also, I've made multiple 10-hour plus trips with only 1 or 2 short stops along the way. I could go forever if I could get some on-road refueling, and if I ate in the car.

So, in summary, I think its just you

But, we are all different, so whatever.

Yes, I also think the later G50 seats are superior. Especially when compared to the LS seat pan which just slides out from under me.

I have done 12-14 hour cross country stints and arrived fresh and relaxed. Best seats ever for me.

I've complained of exactly the opposite: I wish I could lower the driver seat about an inch further. It's too high, even at the lowest setting. But aside from a constrictive footwell (It's narrow, but more importantly I can't drive with my size 13.5 hiking boots on...the footwell isn't tall enough around the pedals) I find the pedal/leg ergonomics to be PERFECT. My legs have never felt more relaxed and naturally comfortable in any car I've driven than the Q.

I think the seats are comfortable, but as comfortable as those in my '93 Maxima. I've never driven another car with seats as comfortable as my Maxima's, though.

I strongly dislike seats with over-aggressive lower back support. Maybe it's because I'm so tall, but in seats with agressive lumbar support I feel like I have to arch my back unnaturally just to lean back into the seat. It feels like the seatback arches away from my shoulders. I don't like that. I want to sink back into the seat, not have to conform around it.

How tall are you? Do you drive with the seat slid far forward?

I drive with my seat as far back as it goes. Steering wheel all the way down and fully extended telescopically. It's a very comfortable driving position.

First, you have a 10 way power seat. Raise the cushion to where you neeed it to be. If your inseam is longer than 23", you should have no problem. You know how to adjust the lumbar support?

I really don't understand, quite frankly.
