96 o2 sensor on 91??

can u wire a 96 o2 sensor into a 91 harness?? the 96 has like 3 wires and the 91 harness has like 1 that is suppost to plug into the sensor.

no, 96 is heated, 91 is not.

I think this might be possible. use only the signal wire and omit the heater portion of the wiring. Its worth a try if you just have the O2 sitting around. I wouldnt buy one to try it out though.

use a volt meter to moniter the signal once the car warms up. If it fluctuates between .175v and .8 volts it is working.
