Alright, I need an opinion from the experts. '

First a little history. I've owned two s13's in the past, one being a 92 and the other a 91; owned both in separate time frames. I loved them both and really wanted to do a restore project on each but the main problem was that I had to use the car as a daily driver, rust issues and I already had a full blown project I was working on that I sank way too much money in to abandon in favor of the s13. So long story short I eventually sold them both when a buyer came along.

Now I'm in the position to where I have a reliable daily driver (2012 Altima coupe) and I want a new project car because my project got t-boned at an intersection. I've been looking to get another 240sx for a project car and came across a 96' s14 through a guy a work with.

The exterior of the car is very clean, a few small rock dents a one small dent on the driver front fender. Nothing too serious or noticeable, other than that the body is in great shape. There is absolutely no rust on this car and has been in texas it's entire life according to the owner and has recently come to Ohio last May with him when he moved here. (He's owned it since he was 16) I find this a very big plus because I've dealt with so many rust issues in the past. Pretty much, I could buff the car, replace the headlights (They're sun damaged) and enlaced the fender and the outside would look absolutely great.

The interior is a mess and pretty dirty. Faded interior parts, cracked dash, stained carpet and seats, headliner is in rough shape, drivers window switch needs replaced, drivers door seal is bad so it leaks, speakers blow, etc.. The interior is what kills me the most because I'm very big on a clean interior so I would be searching for good conditioned replacement parts.

The drivetrain is solid. 150k and there isn't one major mechanical issue that I noticed, transmission shifts great, AC still works and blows nice cold air, brakes are quite. It's a very solid car to drive aside from a minor idle issue that I can easily fix, probably the IACV needs cleaned, egg or something. Not worried about it in the slightest.

No mods aside from a cold air intake a borla exhaust that sounds horrible. My plans are to restore it back to it's prime, probably do a kouki conversions and just drive it until I have the time to rebuild the KA and turbo it, or go SR. I really want another s13 but it's just too hard to find a clean shell in Ohio and I'm not really willing to travel to get one.

He wants 2750 for it and that doesn't seem like it's too unreasonable to me due to the fact of the limed quantity of s14's and no mechanical issues but I wanted a second opinion from you guys. I've never owned a s14 and don't typically know what they sell for but from going by KBB it's around 3300. I'm thinking about offering him 2500 but if worse comes to worse I have the 2750.

sounds like a pretty decent deal, not too many clean body, running s14's for less than 3500-4000
