I have had an ongoing issue with the feeling of my steering wheel vibrating left and right sporadically going past 60mph and during turns on the highway. So I taken the car in for a tire balance and alignment. The problem was cured thank god because I have had that problem for a little over a year. But!!!!!!! the cars steering wheel does not feel like normal when driving. It feels like I can feel every single pebble and bump and roughness the road gives the tires. Its not vibrating or shimmying left to right. In other words it doesn't feel like a smooth strong feeling you would normally feel in a new car. The struts are spanking new and both CV axles are too professionally. Is there anything I am missing here guys?? How can I get my steering wheel to feel like brand new again without the looseness and feeling of hard pavement to my hands???? :tisk:

Have you checked tire pressures? If they're overinflated, that might cause your issue.

They have been checked by the dealership along with the cv replacement. There standard lesschwab tires. Do u know of a certain pressure they need to be at. Also.. I dont know if this helps but today I put on a new steering wheel cover and it took me about 40-50 lbs of pressure to get the darn thing on but afterwards while driving the wheel was even more sensitive to the road and wiggling even more while going over rough road. Could there be something loose in my column or the clamp that moves my column up and down???????

Have you talked to the shop that did the alignment about this issue? This sounds like something someone is going to have to look at to diagnose.
