asap help on the pattern for the wires for the 96 maf sensor

So according to that diagram, going from left to right it would be the signal wire (white), ground (black) then power (black with white) correct? I installed a rb25det engine into an s13 240 and was told to use the 96 maxima maf sensor since my car couldnt rev over 3k rpm or else it would shake like crazy. But when I put in this sensor, the car is a lot smoother, but still wont allow me to go over 3k rpm. You guys have any ideas?
