My check engine light came on a few days ago so I checked the codes and determined that the Knock Sensor needs to be replaced along with the Line Pressure Solenoid Valve. My first question is where is this Line Pressure Solenoid Valve? My second question is How difficult is it to replace? I am fairly mechanically inclined but have never come accross this one before. Any help would be appriciated.

welcome to NICO!

The line pressure solenoid is in the transmission.. you have to drop the valve body, as its on the upper valve body... its not a terrible job, but kind of tedious.....

Before you go digging in your transmission, check the solenoid that is directly behind the air box. The ECU will throw that code whether it is either solenoid. My brothers Max was throwing the same code. We just replaced the line pressure solenoid and it took care of the problem. They tend to go bad if they become overly saturated with fluids of any type.
